Privacy Policy

Notice: this is plain-language placeholder content for development. Final privacy policy is drafted by counsel before public launch.

1. What we collect

• Account info: email, name, phone (verified at signup or onboarding).
• Profile info for stylists: about, portfolio photos, services, prices, house rules, working hours.
• Private location data for stylists: exact address and coordinates, used to compute distance and unlock to confirmed clients only.
• Booking data: appointment time, status, payment record, dispute history.
• Identity data: selfies for clients, Stripe Identity for stylists.
• Usage data: dashboard activity, search terms, feature toggles.

2. What we don't store

• Full card numbers — Stripe handles those.
• Bank account details — Stripe handles those too.
• Anything you don't give us. Period.

3. Who can see what

Private addresses are never shown publicly. They unlock only to clients with a confirmed, deposit-paid booking, and to platform staff during dispute review. This is enforced at the database level — not just in the UI.

Selfie images and ID documents are private. Only the CultChair trust & safety team can view them, and only during a dispute or verification flow.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it with:

• Stripe (payments + identity).
• Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase).
• Authorities when legally compelled — and we'll tell you unless we're prohibited.

5. Your rights

Email support@cultchair.com to request your data, correct it, or delete your account. We process requests within 30 days.

6. Retention

Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax and dispute-history purposes. Audit logs are immutable and append-only by design. Other data is deleted when you delete your account or after extended inactivity.

7. Children

CultChair is not for users under 18. If you believe we have data on a minor, email support@cultchair.com and we'll delete it.
